How We Process .380 ACP Brass
Our .380 ACP brass passes through multiple stages of sorting, cleaning, inspection, and quality control before being packaged for sale.
Incoming range brass is first processed through trommels to help remove rimfire cases, debris, steel cases, and other unwanted materials. It is then sorted by body diameter and rim diameter using roll-sorting equipment and by case height using specialized sorting equipment.
After mechanical sorting, the brass is hand-inspected to remove nickel-plated cases from standard-brass products, aluminum cases that may have passed through earlier sorting stages, cases of the wrong caliber, and cases showing visible damage or defects.
Washed & Polished brass is cleaned using our industrial wet-cleaning process. It is then dried and polished in heated corncob media to improve its appearance while helping protect the cases from tarnish during storage.
Nickel-plated products are separately sorted to remove standard brass, aluminum, steel, and other unwanted materials. Products identified as roll-sized receive the additional processing described in the individual product title and Short Description.
Every batch is hand-inspected to remove cases showing split mouths, severe corrosion, major physical damage, severely damaged rims, excessive discoloration, or other conditions that could affect reloadability.
