Our once-fired 10mm Auto brass provides an economical alternative to purchasing new brass for target shooting, recreational shooting, hunting, defensive training, competition, and general-purpose reloading. It is obtained from commercial, law enforcement, and other shooting ranges, as well as individual brass suppliers, then sorted, cleaned, polished, inspected, and packaged for sale.
This page includes three separate 10mm Auto brass products. Available options include Large Primer Pocket brass, Small Primer Pocket brass, and nickel-plated brass. The nickel-plated product may contain both Large Primer Pocket and Small Primer Pocket cases.
All three 10mm Auto products are sorted, cleaned, and polished. The spent primers remain installed, and the cases have not been resized, roll sized, or otherwise fully processed.

How We Process 10mm Auto Brass
Our 10mm Auto brass passes through multiple stages of sorting, cleaning, inspection, and quality control before being packaged for sale.
Incoming range brass is first processed through trommels to help remove rimfire cases, debris, steel cases, and other unwanted materials. It is then sorted by body diameter and rim diameter using roll-sorting equipment and by case height using specialized sorting equipment.
After mechanical sorting, the brass is hand-inspected to remove aluminum cases, steel cases, cases of the wrong caliber, and cases showing visible damage or defects.
Standard brass and nickel-plated brass are separated into their respective products. Nickel-plated products are separately sorted to remove standard brass, aluminum, steel, and other unwanted materials.
All three 10mm Auto products are cleaned using our industrial wet-cleaning process. The cases are then dried and polished in heated corncob media to improve their appearance while helping protect them from tarnish during storage.
The Large Primer Pocket and Small Primer Pocket products are sorted by primer pocket configuration. The nickel-plated product may contain both Large Primer Pocket and Small Primer Pocket cases and should be sorted by the customer before reloading.
Every batch is hand-inspected to remove cases showing split mouths, severe corrosion, major physical damage, severely damaged rims, excessive discoloration, or other conditions that could affect reloadability.
Spent Primers Remain Installed
Our 10mm Auto brass is sold with the spent primers intact. The cases have not been deprimed, and customers should remove the spent primers as part of their normal case-preparation process.
Primer pockets should be inspected after depriming to confirm the primer size and identify any damage, residue, manufacturer-specific features, or other conditions requiring attention.
Large and Small Primer Pocket Sorting
10mm Auto brass is manufactured with both Large Pistol and Small Pistol primer pockets. Because the two primer sizes are not interchangeable, primer pocket sorting is an important part of preparing 10mm Auto brass.
Our standard-brass products are offered separately as Large Primer Pocket and Small Primer Pocket selections. Customers should order the product that matches their preferred primer size and reloading setup.
Although reasonable efforts are made to sort these products accurately, every case should still be individually inspected and verified before priming.
Nickel-Plated 10mm Auto Brass
Our nickel-plated 10mm Auto product may contain both Large Primer Pocket and Small Primer Pocket cases. Primer pocket size is not guaranteed or separately sorted within the nickel-plated product.
Customers purchasing nickel-plated brass should sort every case by primer pocket size before beginning the reloading process.

Regardless of where your brass is purchased, every reloader should thoroughly inspect every case before reloading. This is one of the most important steps in producing safe, reliable ammunition. While we work hard to identify and remove defective cases, once-fired brass is a previously used product and no inspection process can guarantee that every defect will be found. The final inspection should always be performed by the individual assembling the ammunition.

Bullet Diameter
Commercial bullets intended for 10mm Auto are commonly offered in .400" diameter. Bullet diameter should not be assumed solely from a cartridge name, packaging description, or general bullet category.

Preparing 10mm Auto Brass for Reloading
Proper case preparation is one of the most important steps in producing safe, reliable, and consistent ammunition. Every case should be inspected before reloading, regardless of whether it is new or once-fired.
Our 10mm Auto brass has been sorted, cleaned, and polished, but it has not been deprimed, resized, roll sized, or otherwise fully processed. Customers should perform all case-preparation steps required by their equipment, published data, and intended use.
Sort by Primer Pocket Size
10mm Auto brass may use either Large Pistol or Small Pistol primers. The two primer sizes are not interchangeable.
Customers purchasing our Large Primer Pocket or Small Primer Pocket products should still verify every case before priming. Customers purchasing nickel-plated brass must sort the cases by primer pocket size because the nickel-plated product may contain both configurations.
Removing the Spent Primer
The spent primers remain installed in our 10mm Auto brass. They must be removed before a new primer can be seated.
After depriming, inspect the primer pocket for damage, excessive residue, loose fit, deformation, crimping, or other conditions that could affect primer seating.
Primer Pocket Crimps
Some military, foreign, law enforcement, or specialty 10mm Auto cases may contain primer-pocket crimps or other primer-retention features. Before seating a new primer, these features may need to be removed by swaging or reaming.
