2nd Amendment Day - Dec 2016
A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. December 15th is 2nd Amendment Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness and support for our fundamental right to keep and bear arms, which is codified in the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, and was ratified on December 15, 1791. Some states celebrate the 2nd Amendment on a different day. Oklahoma, for example, observes it on June 28. That’s because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Amendment in the case of McDonald V Chicago on Jun 28, 2010. Why Oklahoma cared about what happened in Chicago, I don’t know, but whatever day you choose to celebrate, just think about this… Around 224 years ago, someone had the forethought and intelligence to provide Americans with the minimum right to protect our person and property. Although it was not initially entered into the U.S. Constitution, this oversight was corrected within just a few years and was incorporated into the Bill of Rights. Some fear the right. They would like to see it repealed. They feel there are too many deaths due to guns. To that I question, would they fear or blame the automobile that hits another automobile or pedestrian? Should we take away the right to drive because the person behind the wheel makes poor judgement? Hey, regardless of your choice of firearms (or choosing not to have one), we can and should respect that right to bear arms and never let it be infringed! Therefore, in honor of the 2nd Amendment, we are offering 10% off on all sales December 15th.
